To Stop Food Waste, Two Of The Most Important Issues Are Food Safety And Hygiene. However, Food Safety Is Not Sufficiently Maintained In Kenya Due To A Lack Of Technology And Ignorance About The Effects Of Humidity, Temperature, Light Exposure, And Alcohol Concentration On Meals. Due To Food Deterioration, This Has Caused Enormous Losses At Numerous Grocery Stores. The Bulk Of Food Stores And Warehouses Still Keep An Eye On The Climatic Parameters That Affect Food Quality By Hand. The Amount Of Information Required To Determine The Quality Of Food Is Not Greatly Provided By These Traditional Food Inspection Technologies, Which Are Restricted To Weight, Volume, Color, And Aspect Inspection. Food Contamination Must Be Prevented And The Quality Of The Food Must Be Monitored. From Being Destroyed By The Elements, Such As Temperature, Humidity, And Darkness. The Goal Of This Project Is To Develop A Food Monitoring System That Systematically Uses A Range Of Sensors To Monitor And Control Food Material Quality. More Specifically, The Sensors In This System—which Measure Light, Temperature, Humidity, And Gas—provide The Vital Data Required To Assess The Condition Of The Product That Is Being Packed Or Kept. Using Internet Of Things Technology, This Data Is Wirelessly Transferred To A Computer System That Offers An Interface For The User To Track Changes In Product Quality Over Time. Eventually, Environmental Concerns Can Be Managed With Vacuum Storage, Refrigeration, And Other Suitable Control Methods.
